This course has been formally endorsed by the Institute of Registered Veterinary and Animal Physiotherapists (IRVAP) and has been developed by industry professionals to support standardisation and regulation within the sector.

The course is ideal for you if you are already working in the industry and currently using hydrotherapy equipment in the training or rehabilitation of horses.

The course is comprised of eight modules including an introduction to equine anatomy and physiology, equine heath and welfare, pool plant and equipment maintenance and assisting with the application of equine hydrotherapy.

Course fees for our part-time courses are dependent upon the availability of government funding, your current income and your existing qualifications.

The course lasts four months and will incorporate a full days training at our Moulton campus on a Monday plus an additional Sunday once per month. All on-campus training sessions will run from 9am - 4pm.

Assessment for this course will be based on written assessments, observations and worksheets.

This course will help you to progress in a career within the field of equine hydrotherapy.

You must be aged 19 or over to apply for this course. You will need to be able to evidence experience working in the equine industry and you must be physically capable and able to carry out practical tasks with horses.

This course will be based at our Moulton campus which features our own Equine Therapy Centre equipped with a hydrotherapy pool, cold water spa and water treadmill.

If you successfully complete the course you will receive a Level 2 Equine Hydrotherapy Assistants Certificate.
