Owen’s Path to Architecture Through Design and Surveying

Owen joined Moulton College in 2024 to study Design, Planning and Surveying. With a clear goal of becoming an architect, he saw the course as a strong foundation for his future career.
“I did this course as a way into architecture,” says Owen. “I’ve heard good things about Moulton and the course, and it’s definitely lived up to that.”
One of Owen’s favourite aspects of the course is the opportunity to use design software to develop his creative skills. He’s also benefitted from valuable industry exposure — including a visit to Winvic, a leading construction firm, where students learned how the sector operates in the real world.
Next, Owen is aiming to secure a degree apprenticeship in architecture — a more direct and practical route into the profession.
