Industry Placement Officer - Animal Welfare

Moulton College is seeking a dedicated Industry Placement Officer to support our Animal Welfare & Veterinary Nursing Faculty.

In this dynamic role, you’ll be instrumental in sourcing and coordinating high-quality T Level placements, working closely with employers, students, and academic teams to ensure every placement is safe, enriching, and aligned with course requirements.

You will:

  • Identify and secure suitable T Level placements in the animal welfare and veterinary sectors, ensuring they meet course and compliance requirements.
  • Build relationships with employers to arrange placements, masterclasses, career talks, and virtual experiences, while promoting further engagement opportunities.
  • Ensure students are fully prepared for placements through training, documentation, and ongoing support, including tutorials and progress feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records using systems like GroFar and ProMonitor, conduct health and safety checks, and ensure all placement documentation is complete and audit-ready.
  • Work closely with curriculum teams, contribute to policy reviews, and stay updated on best practices in the animal industry to enhance placement quality and compliance.

The successful candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, abilities and qualities will include:

  • Minimum of grade C in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with T Level qualifications and in similar roles
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety legislation (e.g., HSAW 1974)
  • Experience engaging with a range of employers and clients
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to build rapport with stakeholders and manage a caseload
