Lecturer – Foundation Learning

We are looking for a part-time Lecturer – Foundation Learning to on a maternity cover basis.

This role is 18.75 hours per week over 3 days (Monday am, Tuesday and Thursday). The students access 34 weeks' study.

Our Foundation Learning provision is an experienced and dedicated team focused on excellent outcomes for our students.

You will:

  • Lecture and train Foundation Learning Students
  • Develop Learning Support Programmes and materials
  • Supervise a team of Learning Support Assistants
  • Assess students’ initial support needs and monitor progress
  • Arrange appropriate additional support for examinations

The successful candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, abilities and qualities will include:

  • A minimum of grade C in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent)
  • Commitment to and evidence of CPD
  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • Experience of working with post 16 students
  • Evidence of successful classroom practice which motivates students
