This is more than a teaching role – it’s an opportunity to be a champion for young people who need guidance, empathy, and tailored support to thrive. You’ll deliver innovative, trauma-informed programmes, collaborate with pastoral and support teams, and create a safe, structured space where every learner feels seen, heard, and empowered.
Interviews for this role will be taking place week commencing 15 December, 2025.
You will:
- Deliver engaging lessons tailored to SEMH learners, including Functional Skills and bespoke programmes.
- Create innovative, trauma-informed learning experiences that promote emotional regulation and resilience.
- Work closely with Learning Support Assistants and pastoral teams to ensure every learner feels supported.
- Champion safeguarding, equity, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring robust support for vulnerable learners and promoting a safe and positive college culture.

The successful candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, abilities and qualities will include:
- Experience working with post-16 students and in similar roles, with a proven ability to motivate learners and deliver inclusive, high-quality teaching.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate effectively to students and support them in achieving successful outcomes.
- Personal attributes such as flexibility, creativity, teamwork, and the ability to inspire and adapt to change.
