Governance & Executive Officer

We are seeking a highly organised, detail‑driven Governance & Executive Officer to play a vital role in supporting the College’s governance, GDPR compliance and executive functions.

This is a great opportunity for an organised professional who works well under pressure, builds strong stakeholder relationships and delivers meticulous, confidential administrative support.

You will be at the heart of college operations—supporting governors, senior leaders, and colleagues across the organisation, ensuring excellent governance practice, strong information management and effective executive support.

The role is full time, however we’re open to discussing flexible arrangements for the ideal candidate.

Interviews for this role will be taking place 2 March 2026.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will:

  • Coordinate and support Board and committee meetings, governance events and seminars.
  • Prepare, format, proofread and distribute meeting papers and record accurate minutes and maintain governance records
  • Act as a key contact for governors, providing timely and professional support.
  • Log, monitor and manage GDPR requests
  • Support breach reporting, staff updates and training compliance.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with legal and statutory duties and timelines
  • Provide confidential administrative support to executive team members

The skills, experience and qualities of the ideal candidate would be:

  • Strong organisational skills and stakeholder management.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., paralegal, governance, compliance).
  • Proven experience handling confidential information.
  • High attention to detail, especially when collating or formatting documents.
  • Flexible, proactive working style with resilience and initiative.
  • Strong IT skills with the ability to confidently use a wide range of Microsoft applications.
  • Minimum of grade C in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent).
