Landbased Technician

We are looking for a Technician to maintain and prepare day to day support of Landbased area and associated facilities.

This role forms part of the Landbased and Equine team at the College and is key to the success of our Countryside and Horticulture students.

Interviews for this role will be taking place week commencing 15 June 2026.

Please note, this position is scheduled to begin in September.

You will:

  • Assist in the preparation of Countryside and Horticulture practical teaching lessons
  • Support students undertaking practical activity under the direction of a member of teaching staff
  • Ensure the Countryside and Horticulture areas are kept to a high standard
  • Prepare materials for practical classes
  • Ensure administrative procedures are completed efficiently, including statutory returns, stock and asset registers

The successful candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, abilities and qualities will include:

  • A minimum of grade C or equivalent in Maths and English Language
  • A minimum of Level 3 Qualification in a Countryside Management or Horticulture related subject
  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of working with a range of agricultural machinery
