Lecturer - Groundworks

We are seeking a Lecturer in Groundworks and Civils to join our expanding Construction team. At Moulton, we offer outstanding facilities, giving students access to a wide range of industry-standard resources designed to provide a realistic, hands-on learning experience.

This is a newly created role within the department, ideal for a motivated and knowledgeable individual with a passion for high-quality teaching. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining our high standards and supporting students to reach their full potential.

Interviews for this role will be taking place week commencing 29 June 2026.

Please note, this position is scheduled to begin in September 2026.

You will:

  • Act as a course tutor to full-time and part-time groups and undertake the associated organisation, administration, and monitoring of attendance.
  • Participate in curriculum development to meet the needs of changing industrial demands and College development.
  • To participate in demonstrations and practical activities with students and trainees on all courses.
  • Carry out regular workplace visits and site‑based reviews to assess competence, progress, and the application of skills within the workplace.

The successful candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, abilities and qualities will include:

  • Strong industry experience in ideally either Groundworks or Civil Engineering.
  • Ability to motivate students
  • Excellent teaching and pastoral care skills
  • Level 3 minimum qualification in relevant subject area.
  • Minimum of grade C in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent)
  • Teaching and assessing qualification (or willingness to work towards this).
  • A full Driving Licence in order to visit sites
