Plumbing and Heating Assessor

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Plumbing Onsite Assessor to join our team and support the development of the next generation of plumbing professionals. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with apprentices and learners, guiding them through their qualifications and helping them achieve their full potential.

Interviews for this role will be taking place week commencing 2 February 2026.

You will be responsible for conducting workplace assessments for plumbing apprentices in line with apprenticeship standards. You will be required to provide tailored support feedback and guidance to leaners to help them progress. Leaner achievements will need to be monitored and recorded using digital platforms and e-portfolios.

You will need liaise with employers and training providers to coordinate assessment visits and should be comfortable travelling on a regular basis. You will need to ensure that all assessments are carried out in accordance with awarding bodies and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of leaner progress and outcomes.

You will hold a relevant vocational qualification at Level 3 or above and already hold (or be willing to work towards) a Level 4 teaching qualification. You will have up to date knowledge and experience of working in Industry.

You will also hold an Assessor qualification (TAQA, CAVA or A1)

You will need a full driving licence and your own transport to be able to effectively visit employers and apprentices on site.

You will have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate giving effective and constructive feedback to individuals. You will have experience of working in accordance with qualification and assessment frameworks and dealing with a range of external bodies. As such you will also have excellent time management and organisational skills to enable multiple projects to be worked on simultaneously.
