Transport Fleet Administrator

We are looking for a Transport Fleet Administrator to provide vital support within the transport team to help support bus arrival and departures and meet customer demands by responding to queries, payments, refunds, bookings and more.

The transport team are part of the Student Services department and are a focused and experienced team that provide a key service to our students.

This is a part year role, working 7.00am to 3.00pm Monday to Thursday, and 7.00am to 2.30pm Friday, over 40 working weeks per year.

Interviews for this role will be taking place on 15 July 2025.

You will:

  • Coordinate and administer the vehicle fleet, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and accurate record-keeping.
  • Manage vehicle maintenance, including tracking defects, ensuring repairs are completed, and maintaining the MID database.
  • Oversee driver compliance, including maintaining the approved drivers list, conducting annual licence checks, and arranging minibus assessments.
  • Handle procurement tasks, such as reordering fuel, AdBlue, and parts, and raising purchase orders.
  • Support transport logistics, including covering for the Transport Manager during key times and assisting with trip bookings and transport-related enquiries.

  • Confident and articulate communicator, skilled in handling customer interactions and managing confidential information.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, solve problems effectively, and manage conflict when needed.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
